Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you access or use Jones County Busted Mugshots. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service or its search tools.

Jones County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and not affiliated with a government body, sheriff, jail, corrections department, or investigative firm. Neither this service nor its advertising partners supplies a consumer-reporting service under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Information and partner tools may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

Nature of the Service

This site is a private reference that points users toward record sources and explains the differences among Jones County custody status, booking records, court files, TDCJ custody, and other public pathways. It does not store or issue official records, confirm someone is held, release a person, file a document, or act for a government office. Information can change without notice.

Search tools on the site may connect a visitor with independent providers. Those services are not operated by the Jones County Sheriff's Office or another agency merely because the query relates to Jones County.

Responsible Use

Use the service lawfully and in a way that respects other people and the systems that host the information.

  • Do not use the site to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls or obtain unauthorized access.
  • Do not use automated scraping, bots, or disruptive traffic.
  • Do not interfere with the site's operation or another visitor's use.
  • Do not use information for a prohibited FCRA-covered decision.

Consumer Reporting Restriction

Jones County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the FCRA. It does not provide consumer reports, credit reports, or screening products, and neither do advertising partners by virtue of appearing here. You agree not to use information from this site or a linked tool to make decisions about hiring, firing, tenant or housing selection, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licenses, permits, government-program eligibility, or another use regulated by the FCRA.

Links and Partner Services

Links can lead to sheriff, court, corrections, government, archival, media, and third-party resources. A link is not an endorsement and does not make this site responsible for another party's content, privacy practice, availability, data, price, or results. Read the terms and policies of an outside service before providing information or purchasing anything.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise complete, current, error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or suitable information. Custody status, record access, procedures, and partner results can change. No page is an official statement by the Jones County Sheriff's Office, Jones County Jail, TDCJ, or another government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses, damages, claims, costs, or consequences arising from use of the site, reliance on its content, or a linked service. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, and consequential damages.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site and its operators from claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of law or another person's rights.

Ownership

The site's original text, design, graphics, logo, and code are owned by Jones County Busted Mugshots or its licensors. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, or modified without written permission except where law permits a limited use.

Changes and Access

We may modify these terms, change site content, or suspend or end access at any time, with or without notice. Updated terms take effect when posted. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Texas Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Texas, unless applicable law requires another venue.

Severability

If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, that part will be limited only as necessary. The remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Questions About These Terms

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Get in Touch page. Requests for an official record, custody confirmation, or a case outcome must go to the relevant government custodian instead.
